HEX Bugs

These tiny robotic insects are very cool toys and I think they would be really interesting to watch. In fact, I'd probably spend way too much time watching it make its way around my apartment!

HEX Bug feels its way around sensing objects in its path and avoiding them. Its antennae are touch sensitive, so if it runs into something it will back up and turn direction. It can also hear! You can control where it scurries through a hand clap, loud noise or table slap – it will then backup and turn away! The robotic bug will travel forward until it hits an obstacle or hears a loud noise. It will then backup in a half circle and then move forward in a different direction.

I'll have to tell my friends at Project InSECT about these.

Great idea!I'm still thinking about having these wander around my apartment. I've come to the conclusion that I'd eventually step on them.
