It always amazes me what some people can turn a simple object into. This kickass guitar cutting board was made from a regular old butcher block from Ikea! I'm very impressed!

Soft Circuit Merit Badge from EMSL
I was checking out the Craftzine blog today and saw that they had made a post about this Soft Circuit Merit Badge from Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories. I'm a big fan of Evil Mad Scientist Laboratories (seriously, check it out!) so I thought I'd share this one (and also make note of it for myself so that I can make it later). This is a little sad but as a kid I loved the idea of merit badges, awards and even special stickers so naturally I'm all over this soft circuit merit badge!
I see a lot of room for creativity with this project and I'm thinking I should make one!

Cool Cloud Lamp Instructable
This cool cloud lamp instructable was made by babblin5 and it's a simple, fun and cheap way to make a great lamp! I can see how this lamp could instantly add a moody feel to a room and I would love to make one of these soon!

The Toy Society
The Toy Society is an enthusiastic group of lovely people who make and drop handmade toys around the world for strangers to find and take home (and love)! Making and dropping or finding homemade toys would be such a thrill!

Sitooterie II
Meet the Sitooterie II by Heatherwick Studio! It's really an incredible structure.
The structure is a cube punctured by over 5000 long thin windows that project from all its surfaces and lift it off the ground. The cube, which measures 2.4 x 2.4 metres, is precision-machined from 15mm anodised aluminium and the windows are 18mm square-section aluminium tubes glazed with transparent orange acrylic.
As the long thin windows all point at the exact centre of the cube, it only takes a single light source, located at this central point, to send light through every tube, causing the windows to glow orange. A small number of them also project into the cube to form seating.
If you want to find out more about Heatherwick Studio click here! They've done a lot of really amazing projects.

Howl's Moving Castle Papercraft
Wow, look at this Howl's Moving Castle papercraft project from Paperkraft.net! (If you're not familiar with Howl's Moving Castle, it's one of my favorite animated movies by Hayao Miyazaki of Studio Ghibli. If you're not familiar with Studio Ghibli perhaps you should watch some of the movies from this list to find out more!)
