Lightning

I love storms and lately I've been totally enamored with big, crashing, fierce thunder and lightning storms. We don't get them often though this spring we've had a whole lot of rainy days.
I like the dark blue mornings after a particularly wet night a whole lot.
Anyhow, the other day I came across this post on Dark Roasted Blend with an amazing collection of lightning strike photos! I thought they were incredibly cool. Enjoy!

Extravagant Cakes

This Royal Cakes post on Zuza Fun was really interesting to me and I thought it would be a good follow-up to the post about the Gold Bullion Wireless Mouse. Some of these cakes are taller than I am!

Beyond Light by Albert Koetsier

Below are just a couple of examples of the amazing X-rayography art that can be found on Albert Koetsier's website, Beyond Light. His process includes more than just taking x-rays of beautiful flowers and other things found in nature and it's really pretty fascinating (you can read about it here).

Shag's Vice Tester (on NOTCOT)

I love this post on NOTCOT about Frankie's Tiki Room and this Vice Tester game that was made by the amazing artist Shag. The photos are awesome and the game is beautiful, very well made and looks like it would be tons of fun.
Check it out and enjoy the fun Tiki goodness!

P.S. If you're still up for some more fun, check out this post on Guillotine with pictures of Shag's studio!
